GitHubのブラウザ編集時にEmacsキーバインドを使う

GitHubには、リポジトリにあるファイルをブラウザ画面から直接編集する機能があります。

この画面では、ファイル形式に応じて文字にスタイルが適用されます。 編集内容のプレビューもできます。 私はこの機能を使って、マークダウン形式のメモを書くことが良くあります(それ専用のリポジトリを作っています)。

Emacsキーバインドを使いたい

私はエディタには拘らない方ですが、最初に覚えたという理由からEmacsのキーバインドを、Visual Studio Code等のエディタにも設定して使っています。できればこのエディタでもEmacsキーバインドを使いたいところです。

CodeMirror

ソースを見る限り、このエディタにはCodeMirror*1が使われているようです。 CodeMirrorにはEmacsのキーバインド設定が用意されており、

https://codemirror.net/demo/emacs.html

ここに書かれていることによると、 https://codemirror.net/keymap/emacs.js を読み込み、 keyMap オプションに emacs を指定すると良いようです。

Emacsキーバインドを有効にする

試行錯誤の末、https://codemirror.net/keymap/emacs.js の内容をブラウザのコンソールに貼り付けて実行した後に、次の一行を実行するとEmacsキーバインドが有効になりました。

Tampermonkeyの設定

毎回上記の操作をするのは面倒なので、Tampermonkeyにユーザスクリプトとして登録すると良いでしょう。
